If you’ve ever bought a used Volvo, there’s a good chance that you have made your way to one of the various online forums or Facebook pages that support ownership of the XC90. I’ve been visiting them since the days of my XC70 and I still get comments on a post I made about changing the heater core way back when.
The good thing about forums is they bring together some very smart owners (and technicians) who have the experience and know-how to help answer the various questions you may have about your XC90.
The downside is that not every owner agrees on the definitive answer to various questions. At best, this can be confusing. At worst, it can lead you to make an incorrect repair to your vehicle. But I still see these forums as valuable as they have saved me many (MANY) hours of research and stress. A lot of work goes into these sites and few (if any) of the members are getting paid for their time and knowledge. So if you do rely on forums for any ownership advice, please keep that in-mind.
